I want to extend a greeting and introduce myself as a loan signing agent in the beautiful state of Virginia. Trained and certified prepared me to take on signings from refi’s to traditional closings. I’d like to start with, I understand that I represent you and that an incomplete signing or a signing full of errors can cost a mortgage officer a rate lock, a buyer to miss a close of escrow, or just cause everyone involved headaches. That is why I review all documents before and don't ever miss any dates, initials, or signatures. I actually walk your borrowers through all of the important docs: the closing statement, note, the deed, and CD. As a real estate investor myself, I am familiar with the closing process from beginning to end. I understand your client is anxious and may have been working and anticipating this close date for weeks. Unlike other notary's, I don't just shove the loan docs in front of the borrower and say, “sign here, I am just a notary.” I understand that I have to be impartial but I can share general information and guidance to ensure a smooth and comfortable closing. Making sure your borrower knows what they are signing by guiding them through loan doc is my priority! Finally, I will return the docs back first thing next morning or immediately after I sign them if it is during business hours. I can print docs if you prefer or I can pick them up. Whatever is easiest for you and the best thing I do is package the loan docs for you. I am not picky about appointment times; 24/7 weekends and holidays.
