I am a mobile notary serving the Northern Colorado areas, certified by the Loan Signing System (LSS), Notary2pro and the NNA as a notary signing agent. The counties that I cover are Boulder, Weld, and Larimer but I am willing to travel. I enjoy what I do and I strive to do it to the best of my ability. I don't want to cause paperwork headaches so I make sure I don't miss any signatures by the signers or myself. I double check to make sure I don't miss my signature on acknowledgments or my notary stamp. I make sure the stamp is clear and bold and not in the margins. I make sure the county and state are correct by writing them in myself or crossing out if it's preprinted incorrectly. I always watch the dates to make sure they are accurate and if necessary, change and initial. I know that this is especially important on the Notice of Right to Cancel, and so I take extra care to make sure this document is executed properly. Any mistake that I make is something that the escrow officer or lender and possibly borrower has to deal with and maybe get resigned, so I do my best to prevent that. I have been trained on all types of loan documents, and I walk the borrower through each one so that they understand completely what they are signing and if they have questions I answer according to the documents or make a phone call if necessary to the appropriate person. I never leave a signing without contacting the one who gave me the signing if the borrower is a noshow or something is wrong. I don't make changes to documents without permission and I always drop off docs as soon as possible. I am aware of the local FedEx and UPS drop off times and I don't miss them if I sign before the pickup time has occurred. If not, I drop them off next day. I've done many signings and I have learned to be efficient without missing anything. The borrowers are comfortable with me as the notary because I know the docs which puts them at ease and I don't waste time and prolong the process for them, yet I go at their pace and don't rush them.
